As Chairman of the Shariah Advisory Board at Marhaba DeFi (MRHB.Network), Dr. Farrukh Habib led the structuring, development, Shariah review, and launch of several pioneering halal crypto solutions. Among these, halal crypto wallet (Sahal) stood out as the world’s first Shariah-compliant non-custodial crypto wallet, seamlessly combining Islamic ethics with decentralized finance.
What I Did:
- Structured and certified Sahal Wallet, an ethical DeFi gateway that dynamically displays the Shariah status of supported cryptocurrencies.
- Oversaw the integration of halal product dApps within the wallet (staking, liquidity farming, RWA tokenization, and marketplace).
- Enabled multi-account functionality for diverse use cases while ensuring all features remained fully aligned with Islamic principles.
Impact:
The Sahal Wallet became a globally recognized model for Shariah-compliant crypto UX, setting a precedent for halal fintech innovation. It enabled ethical Muslim investors to navigate the crypto space with transparency and trust.
